What's your job experience? Home
Keith, your Résumé Enhancer, has been in the Australian workforce for more than 30 years as an educator, public servant, factory worker, railway worker and office cleaner. Prior to that Keith was a lecturer in English Literature in a prestigious Indian university college teaching Shakespearian studies and linguistics. He also collaborated with the British Council in a Bridging Course to help students for whom English was a second language.
During eight years as a public servant in Australia Keith served on various internal selection panels and grievance committees, sometimes as Chairperson, sometimes as union workplace representative and sometimes as line manager. No one empathises more with all categories of workers, and no one knows more about presenting oneself most effectively at each level.
Nowadays Keith successfully combines running a small business, writing and publishing books, doing part-time teaching in a leading State senior high school and coordinating a parish religion programme. In all these capacities he continues to create, enhance and evaluate a wide range of résumés and selection criteria claims.
What's your résumé-writing experience? Home
We have written résumés for corporate lawyers, doctors, policemen, submariners, Advanced Skills Teachers, halal butchers, beauticians, carpenters, waitresses, equipment strategists (mining executives) and heavy vehicle operators resident in Tanzania, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Perth and rural Western Australia from Garden Island to Kalgoorlie. We obviously cannot display their résumés on-line without violating their privacy, but we have scores of examples to show you with the clients' names and personal details omitted to protect their anonymity. Even with these safeguards, some clients often request UsForOz not to show their documentation to anyone else, and their wishes are NEVER disregarded.
I don't know how to write a résumé - will you help me? Home
As teacher and after-hours TAFE lecturer Keith has helped scores of school leavers and others with job applications. He has done résumés for family carers re-entering the work force after years of home management. Everyone has expertise and accomplishments. They only need to be shown how to present these to best advantage. Keith will show you too, and work on your job interview techniques.
Is a CV different from a résumé? Home
No. Curriculum Vitae (Latin for 'course of life'), and résumé, (French for 'a summary'), are interchangeable in Australia. Résumé is usually preferred locally because it's shorter, and it is apparently the preferred term in North America.
UsForOz is not a placement service, but we can get you a head start in the mining industry. Please ring us or email us for more information.

Why did you call your company UsForOz?
Ha! Ha! Thought you'd never ask!
Australia is not a set of borders, politicians or economic indicators. Oz is us. We can make Australia shine.
When I came to Australia in 1970 I was made welcome by 'Good Neighbours' sent by the Good Neighbour Council of Australia to greet new arrivals and make them welcome. Australia has always made me welcome. To me, Australia is the rainbow over the rainbow, the Dreaming, Dorothy's Oz. Oz must be everybody's dream. Only WE can make it so. Ask not what your country can do for you...
If you ring me or email me and tell me you've read this, whether you think it's true or just a lot of commie-pinko hippie garbage, I'll send you a free pen which says:
"You did it! Congratulations.
UsForOz - let's make Oz shine!"
The books published under the UsForOz logo are the real stories of Aussies, especially West Aussies. They are the stories of civil engineers, soldiers, airmen, freedom fighters, the girls of Britain's and Australia's Land Army, hockey coaches, teachers, migrants and world travellers. See the list here.
The résumés prepared and enhanced by UsForOz are done for people who are busy making Future Oz brighter with their talents, courage and ambition. One day they too will write their stories, I hope. But they don't need to. Oz will remember.

My answer is, you're one of the lucky ones if you can afford them. Many people can't, and those are the ones who need us most. However, we need to stay in business, so we balance providing a social service with staying profitable. Other résumé writers have a right to fix their fees according to their own profit equation and so do we. If our charges are lower than most others it's because:
1. We have no overheads. We work from home. All the work is done by family members, hence we have no labour costs either.
2. We own our own gear and control our own finances. We have no shareholders or creditors, not even a credit account.
3. We have multiple income streams. We combine educational interests with book publishing and résumé writing.
4. We are not inclined to be rich and famous. Our home office is very, very modest, but it's very, very adequate and very, very productive. Visit us sometime. Click here to see where we hang out our shingle.
